Third meeting survey (for mentors) - FSP Spring '25

Please fill out one survey submission per mentee.

What's your name?
What's the name of your mentee?

Do you think this mentee would particularly benefit from continued mentorship?

Of course, ideally, we would mentor everyone who is interested in receiving mentorship. Unfortunately, we only have limited (mentor) time and mentor stipends available, and we are thus trying to understand who would benefit most from continued mentorship. We expect that continued mentorship is the right choice for about 50 — 70% of FSP participants.

Some of the things that you might want to weigh when answering this question include:
• Whether the organizer seems particularly promising
• Whether they seem excited about group organizing
• Whether they seem to get a lot out of your mentorship
• Whether they are at a traditional ‘top’ university or not
We understand that this question is hard (especially if you only mentor a few mentees) and perhaps a bit uncomfortable to answer, though, and you’re very welcome to reach out to us if you have any questions.
Shortly elaborate on how excited you are about this person and their university group. For example, could you imagine yourself being excited to talk to this person back when you were first learning about AI Safety?
Assuming this mentee would receive continued mentorship, would you like to keep mentoring this mentee until the end of this semester?
Are you excited about this participant and think that the FSP team should reach out?
Do you think a member of the FSP team (Neav or Agus) should have a call with them to offer them extra advice or resources?
Again, we think that this might be very hard and somewhat uncomfortable to answer. However, we have very limited capacity these months, and hope you understand we need to prioritize heavily.
Do you have capacity to take on additional mentees that we think would be a good fit? If so, how many?
(If you have not answered in another form yet)
Is there anything else you'd like to note?
